BIO / Dan Puglas
Dan Puglas is an artist from Kwakwaka'wakw peoples. A recent graduate of the On the Mic Diploma Program, Current President of Reconciliation Theatre, and former Artistic Director of Western Edge Theatre. He specializes in Voice Acting, as well as Stage Acting, while also has a ton of experience in writing, directing and design.
On Stage, Dan Puglas used to be a shy kid growing up, always wondering what his passion would end up being, but with some help and a brain full of ideas, he ended up finding his way to the world of Theatre. During his time within the theatre industry over the past decade of his time, he has wrote/produced/directed/designed his own shows, some being shown for the Nanaimo Fringe Festival, or produced by Reconciliation Theatre Society. With his recent run of 7Stories over, he’s excited to pursue more within the world of acting.
Behind the mic, Dan Puglas has just finished up his time with the On the Mic Diploma program, where he has learned all sorts of skills, in almost every aspect of Voice Over there is. With his passion leaning more towards animation, and video games, he’s no stickler to commercials, as he has already worked on some local radio ads for theatre companies within his hometown! Equipped with an AT2020X, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, while working with Pro Tools as his DAW, he’s confident that he can make whatever client he has proud!
A passionate Indigenous Artist, who loves storytelling as an artform, he looks forward to being able to bring any stories to life, whether that would be on the stage, on camera, or on the mic. With charisma, confidence, and a high level of respect for the people he meets, he looks forward to being able to work with you all!
